RAINBOW BOOK CLUB READS NATIONAL BESTSELLING
AFRICAN AMERICAN WRITER

For Black History Month, the Rainbow Book Club will discuss Giovanni's Room by renown Gay African American writer James Baldwin.

James Baldwin, who wrote landmark books as Go Tell It to the Mountain and Nobody Knows My Name, has been featured on the cover of Time magazine and received a number of awards.

Giovanni's Room was describes by New York Times Book Review as, "A young American involved with both a woman and a man... Baldwin writes of these matters with unusual candor and yet with such dignity and intensity."
